وقد اُختيرت الشركة لتشرف على المشروع البحثي “تطوير تكنولوجيا معالجة الكائنات الحية الملتصقة بجسم السفينة” الذي نُفذ من أجل تحقيق مهمة السياسة القومية لوزارة الشؤون البحرية ومصائد الأسماك والخاصة بالحفاظ على “بحر نظيف وغني بالأسماك”.

لقد شارك في هذا المشروع، بدعم بقيمة 16.3 مليار وون كوري جنوبي خلال 5 سنوات، عدد من المؤسسات بما فيها معهد كوريا للبحوث في مجال السفن وهندسة المحيطات (KRISO)، وسجل كوريا (KR)، والمعهد البحري بكوريا (KMI)، ومعهد كوريا للاختبارات والبحوث (KTR)، ومعهد كوريا لأبحاث المعدات البحرية (KOMERI)، وSnsys، ووكيل الرعاية الصحية، وأبحاث التكنولوجيا الآمنة، وغيرها.

وجاءت المؤسسات المكلفة وهي الجامعة البحرية الكورية، وجامعة تشانغوون، وجامعة غيم يونغ، في حين جاءت المؤسسة المستفيد وهي شركة هيونداي للتجارة البحرية (HMM).

The company was selected as the supervisor of the research project ‘Development of Technology for Processing Organisms Attached on Ship’s Hull” executed for the ‘clean sea, rich fish field’ national policy assignment of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

In this project, supported with 16.3 billion KRW during 5 years, institutions including Korea Research Institute of Ships & Ocean Engineering(KRISO), Korea Register(KR), Korea Maritime Institute(KMI), Korea Testing & Research Institute(KTR), Korea Marine Equipment Research Institute(KOMERI), Snsys, Proxy Healthcare, Safetech Research, etc. jointly participated.

The commissioned institutions are Korea Maritime University, Changwon University and Gyemyeong University, while the beneficiary organization is HMM.

Additionally, as an international treaty on cleaning ships in water using new technologies would be drafted and enacted jointly by International Maritime Organization(IMO), United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) and Global Environment Facility(GEF) within 3 years, the successful performance of this assignment has become crucial than ever.

Prior to this, Tas Global joined the international industry association of IMO’s The GloFouling Partnerships Project as the first in East Asia to set its environment-friendly robot technology as an international standard.

When the international treaty established, maritime shipping companies must have organisms attached to the underwater body of ships removed and maintain the organism attachment at a state below a certain level (minor seaweeds).

Tas Global is evaluated as the most competitive, being the only company that has developed and commercialized a robot technology that attaches on the ship’s surface and moves without slipping. It registered over 30 patents in 16 countries, namely the US and Europe.

Safety of industrial divers of highest priority, “will prepare an environment-friendly ship cleaning standard”

Tas Global is attentive to the safety of industrial divers. Robot work emerges on large areas and standardized works, but underwater repairs occur on small areas and are of irregular nature. Thus, divers focus on works requiring precision.

Tas Global prepared an internal safety guideline exceeding the safe diving equipment and complementing the manpower structure specified in the occupation safety and health acts. ‫شبكة تلفزيون الصين الدولية (‏CGTN): الرئيس شي جين بينغ يتفقد مزرعة الغابات الصديقة للبيئة، والتي تُعد محور التنمية عالية الجودة

بكين، 25أغسطس 2021/ PRNewswire/ – زار الرئيس الصيني شي جين بينغ يوم الاثنين مزرعة غابات سايهانبا في مقاطعة خبي بشمال الصين. كانت جهود ثلاثة أجيال من المزارعين سببًا في تحويل هذه الأرض القاحلة والشاسعة إلى أكبر غابة اصطناعية في العالم.

CGTN: GAUC to hold global youth summit on a zero carbon future

BEIJING, Aug. 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — 2021 is a crucial year for advancing climate action. To mobilize, showcase, and maximize young people’s strength in tackling climate change, the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate (GAUC) announces the ClimateX Summit – a global initiative led by GAUC to engage youth around the world.

GAUC to hold global youth summit on a zero carbon future

ClimateX aims to help move the world towards a Net-Zero Carbon Future. The summit will be held from October 25 to 29, building on the momentum of global climate events scheduled for this fall, including the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26).

ClimateX will focus on climate and four areas: Nature & Biodiversity, Food & Health, Energy, and Transportation, through three distinct tracks: Academic, Action and Voices.

Academic papers, policy proposals, and short videos, showcasing efforts by young people to mitigate climate change, will be shared with global policy makers during the United Nations Climate Change Conference.

-Academic: Hosted by Tsinghua, Oxford, Yale and Columbia, the Academic Track calls for papers from graduate students who attend schools in GAUC, and from students at non-member universities. (Abstract submission deadline is September 5 )

-Action: Students from different GAUC universities will brainstorm climate solutions during a 5-day, 7-hour Hackathon.

-Voice: In partnership with the COP26 Universities Network, this track calls for short video clips from global youth, communicating their thoughts on climate change. (Video submission deadline is by August 31)

GAUC  was initiated in January 2019, when eight universities made a joint statement at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

Currently, GAUC has 15 member universities and the mission of the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate is to advance climate change solutions through research, education, and public outreach, and to partner with industry, non-profit and government organizations to promote rapid implementation from a local to a global scale.

GAUC will pursue this mission by promoting exchange and cooperation among member universities and providing leadership in global higher education efforts to address climate change.

Galkayo residents show support to joint forces fighting Al-Shabaab in the region

Mogadishu Residents in Galkayo town in Mudug region on Wednesday made large rally in which they were expressing support to the Somali National Army and Galmudug State’s Paramilitary forces against Al-Shabaab militants in southern parts of the region, SONNa reported.

The residents also made dua for the heroes martyred during the fight with terrorists, in particular, in the latest military operations in areas like Amara, Qaycad iyo Ba’adweyn locations.

Somali National Army backing the Galmudug State forces on Tuesday over 60 Al-Shabaab militants after the militants’ attempt to overrun the joint forces’ base in Amara town in Mudug region.

The Somali forces lost about 5 soldiers and some others injured in the area during face to face fighting with terrorists after foiled car bomb attacks according to Information Minister of Galmudug State, Ahmed Shire Falagle.
