UK voices support for fight against Al-Shabaab terror group

London The United Kingdom to provide more than 50 million US dollar in aid this year 2022 for support to those in need of food, water and healthcare in Somalia.

 

Britain’s Foreign Secretory James Cleverly made these comments after a phone call with president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud

 

UK which trains Somali forces in Southwest State vowed to continue to support in the fight against Al-Shabaab terror group.

 

In a tweet last night, he stated: “Important call with @HassanSMohamud to discuss the close UK-Somalia partnership”.

 

He added: “We continue to support the Somali Government in the fight against al-Shabaab. We’re providing over £50m in UK aid this year to support the Somali people most in need with food, water & healthcare”.

 

Recent weeks, Federal Government of Somalia with its people carried out nationwide militry campaign against Al-Qaeda’s linked militants, flashing out over 40 villages.
