President Farmajo receives credentials from new EU, Chinese Ambassadors to Somalia

Mogadishu President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo on Tuesday received credentials from the new European Union Ambassador to Somalia,H.E. Tiina Intelmann and Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Fei Shengchao to Somalia, SONNA reported.

The EU Ambassador to Somalia, Mrs. Tiina shared with the President on how best she would deliver her duties in strengthening ties and cooperation between Somalia and European Union, commending the progress made by the Federal Government in areas of security, rebuilding the army, economy, debt relief and subsidiary.

The President confirmed to Mrs. Intellmann that his Government will work with her fully, and ease in carrying out her diplomatic duties.

On the other side, Chinese new Ambassador to Somalia, Fei Shengchao presented a massage of greeting from H.E. Xi Jinping to President Farmajo, noting that he would promote the historic relations of mutual benefits and respect between the countries.

Mr. Shengchao thanked the President and the Somali people for the warm welcome.

President Farmajo congratulated the Chinese Ambassador for new the job, sharing that his Government is committed to enhancing friendly relations between the countries and peoples.
