Mogadishu, The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre, held a meeting of encouragement and support for the Somali national football team under 17, who have achieved historic victories in the CECAFA Zone competition.
PM Hamza praised the players of the team, their coach and the officials of the Football Federation for the success they achieved on behalf of Somalis and described it as a legacy.
PM Hamza told the youth that all Somalis are looking forward to the final game – promising them a big prize to be happy whether they win or not.
Somalia’s youth football team will face South Sudan in the final on Saturday, and both teams have qualified for the 2023 AFCON tournament in Algeria.
