Bahrain to play Palestine and Syria in friendly matches

Bahrain will take on Palestine on Saturday in a friendly football match during the international break which lasts until March 28.

Led by Portuguese coach Helio Sousa, the national squad is also stepping up preparations to play Syria in a second friendly match.

Twenty-five players are taking part in the training camp – Abbas Al Asfoor, Ibrahim Lutfallah (Ahli), Ahmed Nabil, Ammar Mohammed, Ibrahim Al Khattal, Mahdi Abduljabbar, Mahdi Abdullatif (Manama), Ahmed Boughmar, Mahdi Humaidan, Mohammed Adel, Mohammed Al Hardan, Sayyed Dhiya Said, Omar Salim (Budaiya), Abdulla Al Khalasi, Amine bin Uday, Hamza Al Jebn, Sayyed Mohammed Jaffer, Waleed Al Hayyam (Muharraq), Hussain Al Qassab (Al Shabab), Ali Haram, Sayyed Hashsem Isa, Jassim Al Shaikh, Kumail Al Aswad (Riffa), Ali Madan (Ajman, UAE), Mohammed Marhoon (Al Kuwait – Kuwait).

Bahrain Olympic team to play Estonia on Friday

Bahrain Olympic Football Team will take on Estonia tomorrow, Friday, in a friendly match as part of its March training camp.

Led by Bahraini coach Adel Al Nuaimi, the national squard is also set to play the Estonian team in a second friendly team.

Twenty-eight players are taking part in the training camp – Salim Al Dosari, Abdulrahman Al Khayyat, Saad Abdulla (East Riffa), Ali Mohammed, Abdulla Al Qassab, Mahmoud Mohammed, Hassan Sameer, Sayyed Mahmoud Al Dosari, Abdulla Al Eker (Al Shabab), Nasser Jassim, Abdulhamid Hameed, Abdulrahman Aboud , Faisal Saleh (Riffa), Ali Sahwan, Saleh Khalil (Al Ahli), Nasser Abbas, Abdulla Bourashid (Al Malkiya), Jawad Al Qassab (Ittihad), Mohammed Hassan, Mustafa Mohammed, Isa Abdulla (Manama), Rashid Khalil, Talal Ibrahim (Isa Town), Mohammed Fadhel, Ramzi Abdulla (Muharraq), Jamal Ali (Al Hala), Sayyed Dhiya Amine (Sitra) and Salman Yunis ( Hidd).

The Olympic team is stepping up preparations to play in the AFC qualifiers, scheduled to be held in September.

The national team lost 1-0 and drew 1-1 to Jordan in two friendly matches last January.

Croatian President receives Bahrain Ambassador’s credentials

Croatian President Zoran Milanovic today received Rome-based Bahrain Ambassador Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al Balooshi, who submitted his credentials as Non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanovic.

Dr. Al Balooshi conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to President Milanovic.

The ambassador affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to further expand bilateral relations with the Republic of Croatia in all fields towards serving mutual interests.

President Milanovic also extended greetings to HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

HM King exchanges Ramadan greetings

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa exchanged greetings with HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman, HM King Abdulla II ibn Al Hussain of Jordan, the Emir of Kuwait HH Shaikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, UAE President HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Egyptian President Abdul Fattah El Sisi.

HM the King also exchanged Ramadan greetings with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Eminence Shaikh Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

HM the King expressed congratulations marking the holy month of Ramada, wishing their countries and peoples further progress and prosperity.

Implementation of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives underway: Justice Minister

Following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to inaugurate, restore and develop 30 mosques belonging to the Sunni and Ja’fari Endowments, located across the Kingdom’s governorates, as part of a development plan for mosques, Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda, said that the Justice Ministry had started coordinating with the Urban Planning Authority and the Sunni and Ja’fari endowments to implement the projects.

The minister highlighted the success of the plan ordered by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in Ramadan last year to launch a plan to develop mosques and open, restore and rehabilitate 20 houses of worship belonging to the directorates of Sunni and Ja’fari endowments across the kingdom’s governorates.

Minister Al-Maawda expressed his deepest thanks and appreciation for the support and follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to ensure that the needs of all regions of the Kingdom in terms of places of worship are met, prepared and taken care of, so that worshppers can perform their religious rituals in an atmosphere of peace and comfort.

He indicated that based on HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s order, work has already begun to restore and rehabilitate the following mosques:
