Implementation of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives underway: Justice Minister

Following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to inaugurate, restore and develop 30 mosques belonging to the Sunni and Ja’fari Endowments, located across the Kingdom’s governorates, as part of a development plan for mosques, Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda, said that the Justice Ministry had started coordinating with the Urban Planning Authority and the Sunni and Ja’fari endowments to implement the projects.

The minister highlighted the success of the plan ordered by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in Ramadan last year to launch a plan to develop mosques and open, restore and rehabilitate 20 houses of worship belonging to the directorates of Sunni and Ja’fari endowments across the kingdom’s governorates.

Minister Al-Maawda expressed his deepest thanks and appreciation for the support and follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to ensure that the needs of all regions of the Kingdom in terms of places of worship are met, prepared and taken care of, so that worshppers can perform their religious rituals in an atmosphere of peace and comfort.

He indicated that based on HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s order, work has already begun to restore and rehabilitate the following mosques:

– Al-Nisf Mosque – Riffa

– Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque – Karzakan

– Abdulwahhab Al-Zayani Mosque – Muharraq

– Msaad Al Shemali Mosque – Ras Romman

– Al-Hekma Mosque – Sanad

– Halat Bu Maher Mosque – Halat Bu Maher

– Al Hayyak Mosque – Muharraq

– Al-Jad Mosque – Al-Qafoul

– Sheikh Al Saud Mosque – Manama

– Al-Hawraa Mosque – Jannusan

– Sayed Ibrahim Mosque – Sanabis

– Imam Shafi’i Mosque – Arad

– Al-Madares Mosque – Bilad Al-Qadee,

– Sabeeka Al-Nisf Mosque – Isa Town

– Sheikh Ahmed Al-Wasati Mosque – Sitra

– King Khalid Mosque – Umm Al Hassam

– Al-Madares Mosque (Al-Sadiqi) – Jidhafs

– Sheikhan and Sharifa Al Farsi Mosque – Al-Buhair

– Sheikh Royan Mosque – Jidhafs

– Sheikh Salman Mosque – Riffa

– Kazerooni Mosque – Jidhafs
