State Minister, Director at Germany Foreign Office Hold Talks
Addis Ababa State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hirut Zemene, held talks today with Philipp Ackermann, Director at Germany Foreign Office about developments in the Horn of Africa.
During the discussion the state minister briefed the director about Ethiopia's commitment in ensuring peace and security in Sudan through negotiations which shows the commitment of the country to bring peace and stability to a higher level in the region.
Philipp Ackermann praised Ethiopia and the African Union (AU) for their key role in mediating the two parties and for the successful signing of the agreement.
It is to be recalled that Sudan's Transitional Military Council (TMC) and the Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC) signed a pact on Constitutional Declaration on 4th August to form a transitional government after series of Ethiopia/African Union-led mediation efforts.
