Somali Prime Minister chairs the weekly meeting of the Cabinet

Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia, chaired by the Prime Minister, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre, approved the agreement on the Aviation and Air Service between Somalia and Kenya, they also analysed the achievements of the Somali National Forces in stabilising the capital and liberating the country from the terrorists.

The Council of Ministers praised the achievements of the army in liberating the country, which made it possible to reduce 70% of the terrorist attacks in the country, and succeeded in stabilizing the capital, and made it easy and peaceful to fast in the month of Ramadan.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers approved the cooperation agreement for aviation and air services between Somalia and Kenya, which was renewed by the two countries.

The council heard a report from the Ministerial Committee that was tasked with the return of Somali citizens stranded in the war in Sudan, and the success of bringing back 1198 people, mostly students from Sudan, to the country, and the evacuation of Somali citizens is still ongoing.

The council has welcomed the move to lower the price of the Hajj for Somali citizens this year, which is less than the price of the previous year, which came as a result of a transparent competition entered into by the companies that want to serve the pilgrims.
