Somali Foreign Minister discusses ways to enhance cooperation with Kenyan ambassador
The minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation, H.e. Amb. Ahmed Isse Awad, received today in Mogadishu the ambassador of the republic of Kenya to the federal republic of Somalia Lt. General (Rtd) Lucas Tumbo.
The two officials discussed ways of improving the bilateral relation between the two friendly countries and forming a joint cooperation on a number of issues that Kenya and Somalia share in common. Security is one of the key areas that the two nations share similarity since both countries face one common threat which is al-Shabaab. The citizens of both countries have been conducting cross border trade since ages and the two can mutually benefit by adopting favorable legislation on trade.
