SEF organises dialogue on education challenges

KARACHI : Sindh Education Foundation Regional Office Dadu in collaboration with Education and literacy department district Dadu jointly organized a dialogue on “educational challenges in Sindh and a literacy walk” in Dadu on Monday evening. The debate on educational challenges was held in SEF regional office while a walk was started from government pilot school Dadu.

The objective of dialogue activity was to highlight the issues and challenges in educational sector and the MGD target that will not have to be achieved as mentioned for 2015. The participants from district education department, civil society organizations and SEF partner entrepreneur debated the issue and explained the causes of it.

In the session, it has been highlighted that the government should take serious initiatives to design a comprehensive policy with implementation framework. However, educational budget and extensive supervision mechanism should be the part of it.

After conclusion of that activity, a literacy walk was started from government pilot school Dadu in the representation of District Education Officer (Education) Dadu and an ended at the press club Dadu. Where, representative NGOs, EDOE education, SEF, NCHD, Gorakh Foundation, Community Development Council CDC delivered speeches and highlighted the importance of “International literacy Day”. SEF partner NGOs, and entrepreneurs participated in the walk.

At the end of the walk, a joint press release was distributed among media personnel and SEF regional assistant director thanked all participants for their participation and collaboration.
