President Farmajo Receives credentials from the incoming Russian ambassador to Somalia
Mogadishu(SONNA)-President of the Federal Republic of Somalia HE Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has today received credentials from the newly appointed Russian ambassador to Somalia.
The incoming Russian ambassador to Somalia Mr. Mikhalil Golovanov delivered greetings from the Russian president Vladimir Putin. He promised to strengthen the bilateral relation between the two countries, and improve the cooperation between Somalia and Russia. The Ambassador thanked the people of Somalia for the warm reception and hospitality.
The ambassador hailed the government for the progress made in financial reforms and security sector. He promised his country will take part in training of civil servants and the armed forces.
The president of Somalia said his government wants to restore relations with the world and develop cooperation that's based on mutual benefit and respect.
President Farmajo congratulated the ambassador for the appointment and accepted an official invitation from the president of Russia Vladimir Putin to visit Russia towards the end of this year.
