President Farmajo arrives in Djibouti
A delegation led by HE the president of the federal republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has arrived in the capital Djibouti for an official visit.
The president and his team were given a state welcome, they were received by the prime minister of Djibouti Hon Abdiqadir Kamil Mohamed, minister for foreign affairs, minister for telecommunication, and members of the parliament of Djibouti.
The president of Somalia will meet with his counterpart the president of Djibouti tomorrow to discuss range of issues including regional security, regional politics, economic partnerships and issues of mutual interest.
Djibouti is considered by a brotherly nation by Somalia and over the past years they have contributed immensely on state building and maintaining peace through contributing to the peace keeping force in Somalia. The current visit is due to strong ties between the friendly nation. The two leasers will seek to address issues facing the region from a united perspective.
The president was accompanied by the minister for telecommunication Abdi Anshur Hassan and the director general of the state house of Somalia Dr Noor Diriye Hirsi (Fursade).
