PM Hamze discusses UN envoy for best support in drought response

Mogadishu Prime Minister Hamze Abdi Barre on Sunday met with United Nations envoy for Somalia, James Swan.

Both sides talked about range of issues including latest political, security and humanitarian developments in Somalia.

“This morning, I held a meeting with the@UN Special Representative to #Somalia, James Swan,” the primer tweeted.

“We discussed range of topics including latest political, security & humanitarian developments in the country & how the UN agencies can best support government drought response efforts,” he added.

Almost 8 million people effected drought in Somalia, and need emergency funding to prevent famine, according to UN Agencies.
