Abu Dhabi, The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Daud Aweis Jama, attended the opening of the Global Media Congress in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The conference was officially opened by the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The conference was attended by ministers, ambassadors, senior leaders of the international press, media companies, media creators and social affairs.
The main agenda for discussion was to accelerate the direction of change in the press and media tools, according to the development of technology and the speed of the impact of social media. Reshaping the future of media, the apparent ability to raise awareness and drive change in the media, investment opportunities on the modern media, supporting and encouraging the youth on the media, the government’s media outlets to be able to talk on the issues of the government and their output and other issues.
