JORDAN VOICE SUPPORT TO REVIVE TALKS BETWEEN ISRAELIS, PALESTINIANS
AMMAN, Jordan- King Abdullah II of Jordan, on Wednesday, stressed on the country's effort to revive peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
The King made the remarks, at a meeting with Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, during which they discussed latest developments related to the Palestinian issue.
Jordan will work with all stakeholders, to remove obstacles against resumption of peace talks, leading to the creation of an independent Palestinian state, based on the two-state solution, said the King.
He added that, Jordan will continue to play its role in defending Islamic and Christian sites in Jerusalem.
Their talks also covered the need for continued coordination, to serve the interests of the two sides, as well as, regional developments.
