The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has approved the appointment of representatives of the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) as members of its standing committees for the period (2023-2027).
BFA President, Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, will serve as a member of AFC’s Financial Committee, while the Chairperson of BFA’s Women Committee, Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, will be a member of the Social Responsibility Committee.
BFA board members Aref Al-Mannai and Sultan Al-Suwaidi, were appointed as members of AFC Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee, and AFC Legal Affairs Committee.
Meanwhile, the media coordinator of the Bahrain National Football team, Mohammed Abdulghaffar, has joined AFC Media and Communication Committee.
The approval of Bahraini nominees to AFC committees confirms the distinction and competence of Bahraini cadres, which entitled them to hold various positions at continental and international associations.
