Minister of Foreign Affairs meets Deputy PM of Serbia and other Ministers to strengthen the bilateral relations
Mogadishu, The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Abshir Omar Huruse, who is on an official visit to Serbia, held meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister who is also the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia H.E Ivica Dacic, the Ministers of the Interior and the Minister of Trade and the economy of Serbia.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia gave a high-ranking welcome to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia and his delegation, claiming that the historic relationship of their country with Somalia is huge.
Mr. Ivica Dacic has promised that his government will support the Somali government in all aspects, especially in the areas of training and equipping the Armed Forces and the construction of medical centers for the treatment of the Armed Forces as well as the training of government employees.
The Minister thanked the government and the people of Serbia for the warm welcome and the support they promised to the government of Somalia and confirmed that Somalia is committed to strengthening the long friendship, citing the reactivation of the Somali embassy in Belgrade.
The relationship between the two countries began in 1960 and they were both a part of the neutral governments. The Somali Ambassador to Serbia Amb. Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed has been successful in strengthening the historic relationship between Somalia and Serbia since the time he was appointed as the Ambassador of Somalia to Serbia.

Permanent Representative of the OIC visits Consul General
The Permanent Representative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Ibrahim Adem Muse visited the Consul General who is also the Special Envoy of the French Government to the OIC, Mrs. Catherine Corm-Kammoun.
The meeting was on sharing information and they discussed the traditional relationship between Somalia and France and how to strengthen it by agreeing on many important issues such as human rights issues and the fight against extremist groups.
The meeting was accompanied by the First Secretary of the OIC delegation, Mr. Mohamud Omar Jowle.
