SNA in cooperation with Bakool regional government conducts operations to chase Al-Shabab terrorists

Bakool, The Somali National Army’s security forces in cooperation with Bakool regional government conducted operations to chase the remnants of Al-Shabab terrorist groups in several areas under the city of Hudur.

The special areas where the operation was carried out and which the army reached include Farag, Wargalole, Luwaay and Huuyaley, where the Al-Shabab terrorists have been harassing the people.

Somali nationals repatriates from Libya after horrific ordeal

Mogadishu Special Envoy for migration and children’s rights, Mariam Yassin, received Somali nationals at Mogadishu’s Adan Abdulle Airport.

The first secretary of the Somali Embassy in Libya, Ayub Hashi Isse, said these youths are held by armed gang human-traffickers in Libya.

Isse says they  faced “horrific” conditions during in the captivity and urged young people to stop migrating and instead invest in their country.

For the last two decades, Libya has been the main starting point for African refugees and migrants crossing the Mediterranean in order to reach Europe.

SNA took control of important areas from the Al-Shabab terrorists

The Somali National Army of the Lower Shabelle region and of the 12th Division of the National Army took control of important areas from the Al-Shabab terrorists such as Jambalul and Kaharow areas close to Afgoye district of the Lower Shabelle region.

The army destroyed a fake court in Jambalul area where the terrorists were harassing the people. The army also displayed various materials that was left by the Al-Shabab group.

Dhameh Hashi Mohamud Bullale, who is the Commander of the 1st Brigade of the Lower Shabelle Region and who led the operation, said that the armed forces destroyed Al-Shabab command centre in the Kakharow area.

The commander of the Lower Shabelle Regional Police Force, Major Nour Khayir, said that this operation will continue and they will chase the terrorists from the areas they still control in the region.

Minister of Trade receives Swedish Ambassador to Somalia

Mogadishu, The Minister of Trade and Industries of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Jibreel Abdirashid Haji received the Ambassador of Sweden to Somalia, Mr. Per Lindgärd in his office today.

The Minister and the Ambassador discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations, the acceleration of work activities for Somalia’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), training and the overall reform of Somalia’s business.

In fact, Somalia has made a great effort to join the World Trade Organization (WTO), and as a government it is committed to making a significant progress in order for Somalia to become a member of WTO.

Hirshabelle State President meets Commander-in-Chief of ATMIS

Jowhar, The President of the Hirshabelle State of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Ali Gudlawe Hussein and the Commander-in-Chief of the ATMIS forces held a meeting to discuss security issues, operations to chase the Al-Shabab terrorists and how to strengthen the cooperation of removing Al-Shabab terrorists from the areas they still control in Hirshabelle region.

The President asked the ATMIS command to play a prominent role in the operations to remove Al-Shabab from Hirshabeelle State and added that from now on, they should stand together to eliminate the enemy.

Somali, Malaysia vows to cooperate in transport and aviation

Montreal Minister of Transport and Aviation of the Government of Somalia, Fardowsa Osman Igaal, held discussions with her Malaysian counterpart, Wee Ka Siong in Montreal, Canada.

During talks which als attended by the Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Somalia, Ahmed Macallin Hassan., both officials exchanged views on ways to expanding in the field of cooperation.

“Malaysia is among other nations we are considering to have with mutual and candid collaboration,” Mrs Fardowsa said. “And we agreed importance of this initiatives between our two nations”.

On his side, Wee Ka Siong expressed his commitment to provide all necessary support from the his ministry’s side including experience sharing and development in the field of transport and aviation.

Minister of Information attends International Tourism ceremony in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Daud Aweis Jama alongside Ministers of Information of the Regional governments of Somalia, Banadir regional and honoured guests attended International Tourism day ceremony held in Mogadishu.

The event was organised by the Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.

“Somalia is a country ready for tourism and has many beautiful places both in the sea and in the land. The Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism is working to attract international tourists to the country.”

The regional governments and Banadir region have encouraged the commemoration of the Day and the efforts of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia to revive tourism, and finally the event encouraged people working in the development of tourism in Somalia.
